Characteristics of the ISO 9001-Certified, Ballistic Protection Material
- The material used in our patent-pending Ballistic Cape has been used in military applications for over 20 years.
- The manufacturing and fabrication of ballistic material is ISO-9001:2015 certified.
- Made of ultra-lightweight, ballistic resistant material weighing less than 4 pounds per square foot.
- Meets NIJ 0108.01 Type III and UL 752, Level 8 standards for ballistic resistance.
- Non-conductive and non-corrosive.
- 15 times stronger than steel by weight.
- Less than 1 inch thick.
- Ultraviolet (UV) light resistant.
- As part of military application projects, it was tested successfully in various outdoor weather conditions including saltwater, fuel soak, extreme heat / humidity, and extreme cold conditions.
- Hydrophobic - meaning no water weight gain.
- Has been tested and validated to protect against 7.62mm (150 grain) rifles, 5.56mm (55 grain) rifles (and it will stop a bullet from a 9mm handgun as well).
